Berhalter is the deep-lying playmaker who emerged as one of MLS's best in 2025, leading the Vancouver Whitecaps to the MLS Cup and Champions Cup finals. The son of former USMNT coach Gregg Berhalter, he debuted for the national team in June 2025 and started five straight Gold Cup matches. His passing range and set-piece delivery give the midfield a different gear.
